5th 8th Class TN Public Exam Time Table: Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TN DGE) has to conduct the Board common exams for the students of 5th and 8th class where the exam time table is the same throughout the state.
For the year 2020, TNDGE has released the exam dates on which the subject wise tests will be conducted. So all the students studying in different Primary and Secondary schools of Tamil Nadu can check the exam dates here.

About TN DGE 5th & 8th class:
Along with SSLC and HSE exams, the Directorate of Government Examinations conducts the Board exams for the students of 5th and 8th classes which have importance in Primary and Secondary education in student’s life.
A new Board of School Examination has been constituted by the Tamil Nadu Government by merging the Board of Higher Secondary Education and Board of Secondary Education with the G.O.Ms 26 coming into force in the state dated 16th February 2011.
This Board is named as Directorate of Government Examinations and all the decisions regarding the exams in Tamil Nadu School education are taken by DGE.
TN DGE has 7 Regional offices which are located at Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Cuddalore and Vellore. All the tasks related to exam time tables, distribution of treasury for conducting exams and sending of Marks Certificate are done through these regional offices.
Tamil Nadu 5th & 8th Class Time Table & Exam Date:
In the month of April, All 8th and 5th Class Students need to give their common Board exams. Exams are scheduled on different dates in that month so that the candidates can get enough time for preparation based on the gap between each subject. Recently TN DGE has released the exam dates for the academic year 2019-2020 and students can have a look at it.
For 5th Class Time Table & Exam Dates:
All the students belonging to the 5th class will be giving their exams from 15th April 2020 to 20th April 2020. There are 2 Languages like Tamil and English conducted first and later Mathematics subjects need to be given by Students.
Exam duration for 2 Hours where the time given for question paper reading is from 10:00 AM to 10:10 AM and the exam concludes by 12:15 PM.
15th April 2020: Tamil Language
17th April 2020: English Language
20th April 2020: Mathematics
For 8th Class Time Table, Exam Date:
Secondary education starts from 6th class and students after reaching 8th class need to give their first Board exam across the state. All the students of various Government, Private and other institutes need to give the Board exams that are going to be conducted from 30th March 2020 to 17th April 2020.
There are 2 Language papers and 3 Subject Papers that the students need to concentrate on. Subjects include Mathematics, Science, Social Studies. The time duration for the 8th class is the same as the 5th class where the exam timings are from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM.
30th March 2020: Tamil Language
2nd April 2020: English Language
8th April 2020: Mathematics
15th April 2020: Science
17th April 2020: Social Sciences
