AP Curfew epass: With the raising of Covid 19 cases at an alarming pace, the Government of Andhra Pradesh opened a new scheme. It aims at benefiting the citizens of all districts of Andhra Pradesh. The objective is to create and get essential commodities delivered to the people residing in districts. The AP Curfew epass 2021 scheme is an initiative of the ‘Andhra Pradesh State Police Department.

Under the leadership of the Honourable AP chief minister, Sri. Jagan Mohan Reddy, to support the immediate needs of citizens, the curfew emergency pass scheme was started on 3 April 2020 online.

The scheme is to benefit the citizens and maintain a harmonious movement among the masses of the State. The Covid19 Emergency e-Pass will be made available at the new Spandana official website, https://www.spandana.ap.gov.in.

AP Police Active Role in Covid 19 Crises: Participation in Issuing Curfew epass:

The Government on the official portal begins to issue Curfew epass and allows citizens to track applications. Before issuing a pass, the information uploaded by citizens goes in the process of verification.

In this case, the district control centre, municipal commissioner, and tahsildar are assigned to do the activity of verifying applications. The citizens who need to travel inter-state, are granted permission by AP police.

Police do issue e-pass and the department makes use of the Police Seva app. The AP DGP Gautam Sawang makes an announcement that to tackle the Covid 19 crises stringent measures shall be implemented. Citizens who do plan to travel interstate will need to avail e-pass facility. Moreover, the DGP urges to make use of Dial 100, & Dial 112, and call back immediately if any violation of Covid 19 activity takes place.

Despite the fact that Centre makes an announcement on Unlock 3.0 guidelines, the AP epass was still made compulsory. It applies to non-domicile of AP. The persons may belong to Telangana, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, or Maharashtra.

Enrolment of Citizens for AP emergency curfew pass online:

1st Step: Open the browser, and place it in the official portal, https://www.spandana.ap.gov.in/.

2nd Step: Once the web page gets loaded, enter the ‘home page,’ enter a phone number, and enter the OTP. 

3rd Step: A new web page gets loaded and on display, one can find the ‘e-pass online form.’

4th Step: Citizens must enter the GST & Employee details.

5th Step: Instead, the Citizen has an option too,

6th Step: Enter the details such as name, organization name, work profile, mobile number, email ID, vehicle type, vehicle registration number, residence address, the purpose of visit, Aadhaar No, Pass validity date: from and to.

7th Step: Once the application is filled in, citizens can click the ‘Apply’ button.

8th Step: Citizens can make a note of the issued reference number, and they can track the application form and download epass.

During the lockdown periods, the central and state government took steps to have the supply chain of essential commodities intact. Hence, both governments will provide a movement curfew epass for essentials and emergency works.

The Movement Pass e-curfew pass is provided to essential service providers. The people are free to enter the Spandana website and enrol for AP Curfew epass.

Note of caution, Government warns citizens not to misuse technology. Else, they will be charged with a punishable offence under the Indian Penal Code, and 2005-NMDA.

AP Curfew epass Available at Serviceonline.gov.in:

To support the private establishments, that are engaged in the production supply of essential goods and services. The government has identified around 23 industries and they are exempted from lockdown. In such instances, only 20 per cent of employees are permitted to be at the workplace.

Technical Support for Spandana Site from National Information Centre:

The National Information Centre, Andhra Pradesh has designed and developed website links for every district of Andhra Pradesh. The website link for Anantapur is https://ananthapurmanu.ap.gov.in/, Chittor – https://chittoor.ap.gov.in, etc, and citizens are allowed to make use to generate Curfew epass.

AP Police Attends Health Emergency People over WhatsApp, Email:

For some of the essential services, the AP state govt Police Department will approve and provide the emergency epass. AP Police will send the e-pass for the health emergency people through WhatsApp, email after submitting the epass Application form online.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh, AP, allots separate WhatsApp numbers for the citizens in the issue of emergency pass. They will have to enter personal details like the applicant Full Name, Current Address, 12 digits Active Aadhaar number, Vehicle number, beginning and destination, Email Address and the cause of the emergency.

To mention a few, a citizen can get an emergency epass in AP, by approaching these numbers, for instance.

In order to seek Covid 19 emergency e-pass through the New Spandana portal, the following are the documents to be uploaded.

They are:

  • Passport size photo of the applicant
  • Valid Id proof (Aadhaar Card or Voter ID/ Ration Card)
  • Address proof
  • Vehicle Photo and Licence

Government of AP: Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Emergency Passes:

In times of Covid 19 lockdown, the Government of AP issues the e-pass to citizens who are working in sectors of prominence. They are Agriculture, transport, Medical, Milk Supply, Water Supply, Electricity, and etc.

The government of Andhra Pradesh introduces an emergency pass system in the State under the supervision of the District Joint Collector, and the government will send them passes to whoever forwards their application via mail or phone.

The district collector shall provide only 20 per cent of the employees with e-Pass or at least 5 people from every factory shall get it. They can be people working in manufacturing, shipping companies, factories of essential commodities. Likewise, the e-Pass facility is provided for owners of services like grocery, chemists, milk, etc, quoted under essential services.

AP State Command Control Room keeps a track of essential commodities on a daily basis and directs the AP Citizens grievances to respective departments for redressing. The official registered no’s are 1092, which works 24 x7.
