Dravidian University Admissions: The Dravidian University, Kuppam, Chittoor district, AP, India had been set up on firm basis by the Government of Andhra Pradesh by Legislature Act [No.17 of 1997] and starting support has been supported by Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala governments for the combined development of Dravidian languages and culture.

The university, which started in 1997, which began working perfectly with two departments in 1998 and now grown today into 23 departments for academics and 6 Research centres.

Dravidian University every year provides UG (BA, BCom, BSc), PG (MA, MCom, MSc), research and also distance Education Courses for the AP State Students.

The school has the following studies which are Department of Comparative [Dravidian Literature] and Philosophy, Department of English Language and Communications, Department of Kannada Languages and Translation studies, Department of Malayalam language and Translation studies, Department of Tamil Language and Translation studies and the rest.

Dravidian University Admissions 2022-2023 for UG/ PG Courses

Dravidian University has issued the Admissions Notification for UG and PG Courses and it has invited application forms from the Eligible applicants.

The applicants who are eligible to get admissions into DU Insititute on the basis of the qualification examination which will conduct by the University of Dravidian can now apply online.

There is no physical exam for UG Course and the University will not Conduct any written exam. The students will select based on the marks obtained in the pre-degree course. Applicants need to appear for DUCET and DURCET exams for post-graduation and research.

Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu applicants are given 10 percent seats. University also provides information about studies through distance learning.

Application who need to write DUCET and DURCET entrance examination must submit filled application forms to the University admissions office.

The board has clearly mentioned that applicants need to apply with a separate application form for all Courses. The Application fee for General and OBC Candidates is Rs.350 and for SC/ ST/Ph.D. Candidates is Rs. 250. and they must pay in the form of Demand Draft (DD) to the University admissions office.

Admissions for UG Courses:

Every year, the University of Dravidian (DU) presents many courses in the departments of Arts, Social science, Commerce, and Science at the undergraduate Standard.

There are 7 Subjects that will cover in B.Sc Course to become skilled in all subjects such as:

  • Biotechnology
  • Botany
  • Chemistry
  • Microbiology
  • Computer Science
  • Mathematics
  • Statistics. 

The admit is totally based on the highest score that they got in the pre-degree course. The first Priority will give to the applicants who have scored the highest marks in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry subjects in the qualifying exam to get admission into the university.

To get admissions into Other Courses such as B.B.M, B.Com, and B.A, Contenders must pass in the respective Subjects like Commerce, Commerce/ Arts, and Arts. There are 60 Seats available in Each Course.

PG Admissions:

In the same way, the DU Organization Presents many Upgraded Courses at the postgraduate level. To get admissions into Dravidian University at the postgraduate level applicants should appear for DU Common Entrance Test (DUCET) examination conducted by the University. For PG courses duration period is 2 years, except for MBA and M.ed that is 3 years and 1 year respectively.

Applicants of MCA and MCA should appear for Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) Examination. Admission for B.E.d and B.P.E.d courses are done through Ed.CET and PE CET respectively.

PhD and M.Phil Admission:

This is very good news to all PG Completed Students. The DU University has presented One more high-level Course Such as Ph.D. and M.Phil to the students to go to the next level in their concerned subjects. 

To get admissions into Ph.D. and M.Phil Courses in DU Organization, Candidates must appear DUCET Exam conducted by Dravidian University. Based on the Scored marks at PG Level Course, the Students will get Admission into DU Institute.

Distance Programme Admissions:

Dravidian University also offers Distance Programme. Students who want to complete their degree in Distance mode have to Qualify below-given tests.

Applicants must Qualify for the UG (Open System) test and UG (Regular System) test and they should pass their 10+2 or equivalent exam. The duration period for the course is 3 years except for B.Li.Sc duration is 1 year.

Applicants who are eligible should devote knowledge on the academic subject to qualify for a graduate degree from any university. The total time period differs based on the nature of the course.

Application Process:

Applicants can apply online and offline as well. Application to get admitted into the university can be applied to the office of admissions. For each course, they require a different application.

The Processing Fee is Rs.450 to Submit the application form. Applicants can get the application form from the office of the Dean. During such cases, applicants should submit and pay the entrance exam fee of rupees 350 for General/BC Candidates and rupees 250 for (SC/ST/ Differently abled applicants)

At Andhra Bank, Dravidian University Bank, Kuppam (0001539), Fee should be submitted in the form of DD to withdraw in favor of the “Registrar, Dravidian University, Kuppam”.

Along with application photocopies and other materials should be submitted.

  1. Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate, S.S.C, and Intermediate Passing certificates, Degree marks, and provisional certificates should be obtained by the candidates.
  2. Original Caste Certificate (Permanent or New one got from M.R.O or Tahsildar)
  3. Income certificate (got in 2015 from M.R.O or Tahsildar)
  4. Candidates who are differently-abled should get the relevant certificate.
  5. Candidates should get a relevant certificate if it is NCC/NSS/Games and Sports.
  6. For children of Armed personnel, a Discharge and service certificate should be obtained.
  7. TC of other university students.
  8. Four photographs.
  9. Two Post-cards having their self-address.
  10. Rupees 10 postal stamps should be affixed for Legal size Self-addressed cloth.
  11. Photocopy of Aadhar card
  12. Photocopy of Bank passbook
