Karnataka Ration Card Status: Ration card is a crucial document to all the Indian Citizens who want to get ration and other food grains at Subsidy prices. People can use the ration card as a government identity card.

The Indian states have introduced the ration card scheme as per their govt norms and provided the white and pink ration cards to all the below poverty line beneficiaries.

Not only the Karnataka State government has launched this scheme but also all states have been introduced food Security card schemes to help the poor and daily wage workers.

The Karnataka State CM B. S. Yediyurappa Garu has launched the new Scheme namely Karnataka Ration Card for BPL and other category poor Citizens to provide the food grains and rice at low cost.

The Karnataka Ration Card scheme’s main Motto is to distribute the rice, wheat, sugar, and other necessary food grains to the poor and needy beneficiaries throughout the Karnataka state. Under this scheme, beneficiaries will get the food grains monthly wise.

In the previous articles, we discussed the Telangana Food card, Delhi ration temporary e-Coupon card, and Kerala ration card schemes. The Delhi, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana governments have already started to distribute the rice, wheat, and other food grains through PDS systems to help the poor people in lockdown days.

Type of Karnataka Ration cards:

The Karnataka state government has issued 4 types of ration cards based on the categories of the applicants. Based on the economical background, the Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department of Karnataka has made the ration cards and provided it to the Karnataka state citizens. There were 4 types of ration cards launched by the Civil Supply department. 

They are:

  • Antyodaya Anna Yojna Ration Card
  • NPHH (Non-Priority House Hold) Ration Card,
  • PHH (Priority House Hold) Ration Card,
  • Annapurna Yojna Ration Card.

PHH (Priority House Hold) Ration Card: Mainly the Civil Supply department will issue this PHH ration card to the people who are staying in rural areas. Under this scheme, the PHH ration cardholders will get the benefit from rice, wheat, sugar at subsidy prices.

Annapurna Yojna Ration Card: The AY ration card will be provided to the beneficiaries whose age limit is above 65 years by the Karnataka state govt. Under this scheme, Citizens will get 10kg rice and other food items on a monthly base at free of cost.

Antyodaya Anna Yojna Ration Card: AYY ration cardholders will get Rice Rs.3 per kg and sugar Rs.2 per kg. This card will be given to the people whose annual income must be less than Rs.15000. AYY Ration cardholders would get the daily needed food Items such as rice, sugar, etc at a cheap price by comparing it to other ration cards.

PHH (Priority House Hold) Ration Card: PHH ration card will be offered by the state government to the beneficiaries whose annual income must be less than 1 lakh. This cardholder will get food grains and other commodities at subsidy Prices.

Eligibility:

1. Beneficiaries’ annual income must be less than one lakh. And they must be citizen of Karnataka state.

2. Applicants must hold the original Aadhar card.

3. The Newly-married Couple who are citizens of Karnataka state also eligible to apply for AHARA Karnataka ration card.

4. Beneficiaries should not have their own house in Karnataka or any other State. Those who have their own house will be prohibited.

Required Document to apply for Kar Rice Card:

People who are required to register for a new ration card must have the below-given documents.

  • The Copy of Aadhar Card or Voter ID Card
  • Beneficiaries Photograph
  • Address Proof of the applicant
  • The Copy of Bank Passbook Frontpage 
  • Previous Month Current Bill  
  • Valid Mobile number and Emil ID 
  • Caste Certificate and Income Certificate

The Process to apply for a New ration card:

1st Step: The Karnataka State Citizens who don’t have the ration card can visit the nearest Civil Supply department office or Meeseva Kendra and ask for a new ration card application form.

2nd Step: Beneficiaries can start to fill up the details such as the Main candidate’s name, Father or mother’s name, age, gender, Permanent or temporary address, Valid Bank account details, Mobile number, and email ID.

3rd Step: After filling the Karnataka rice card application form with the personal and bank details, Citizens must attach the required document such as a Copy of Voter ID card or Aadhar card of the main Person among the family, Bank passbook front page, Photo of the main person and Income & Caste certificates.

4th Step: Finally, beneficiaries can submit their complete application form along with the attached copies and give the biometric. Pay the application fees which is the cost of Rs.5/-.

5th Step: The mee Seva Kendra agent will verify the details and provide the acknowledgment Card ID. Applicants can use this card ID number and track the Karnataka Ration Card Status online.

The Process to check Karnataka Ration Card Status Online:

1st Step: Applicants who are belonging to the Karnataka state can visit the official website i.e. www.ahara.kar.nic.in to track the status of their ration card.

2nd Step: Hit on the E-Service Option which is located in the header of the home page.

3rd Step: Click on the New Karnataka Ration card application Status link and open them on the fresh page.

4th Step: Enter the application number or acknowledgment Card ID and track your application status online.
