Kisan Rath Mobile app: Lockdown period has drastically affected the farmers of all regions across the nation. One of the areas is the transport section. Before the lockdown, farmers had transport and the agricultural produce reached their agricultural market yards easily. The lockdown has halted the transportation and yet the government stepped in to support the need of the farmers. They began to fill in the need by making transport available for the farmer community.

The first step in the process is the launching of a mobile app that can bring all to a single platform. The app is meant to serve farmers in relate to transport of the crop and sale of crops easily. The Indian Agricultural minister Narendra Singh Tomar garu has introduced the android and iOS mobile application for the farmers relate to transport of the crop. The name of the mobile application is Kisan Rath. This ‘Kisan Rath’ app will support the farmers in giving a boost to Inter-mandi and Inter-State trade of agriculture.

The Farmer Minister said that this new mobile application like “Kisan ka apna Vahan”, is an important milestone in agri-produce transportation. This kisan rath app platform has access to five lakh trucks and twenty thousand tractors. These vehicles transport the farm produce from the farm gate to the mandis and other market yards.

In addition, Tomar has launched All India Agriculture Transport call center to encourage and facilitate interstate movement of perishables. The mobility can safeguard the income of farmers through employing the two services mentioned. However, the application can be reached at kisanrath.nic.in/.

Inauguration of the Portal:

The kisan path portal has inaugurated by the Ministers of state Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Parshottam Rupala and Shri Kailash Choudhary, Director General, NIC and senior officers of the Ministry.

Kisan Rath Applications:

Kisan Rath application enables farmers and traders to identify the right transportation for the movement of farm produce such as cereals, pulses, cereal, coarse, etc.

In addition, they are fruits, vegetables, oilseeds, flowers, bamboo, minor forest produce, coconuts, etc also become a part of produce for the transportation. The mobile apps accommodate the Reefer(refrigerated) vehicles that play to transport perishable commodities.

Planned Solution Kisan ka Apna Vahan’ Working Style:

In a way, the lockdown has created a strong interactive linkage between farmers, FPOs, APMC mandis, Warehouses, and intra-state and interstate buyers. The foremost reason of this app is to bring in a reduction in the wastage of food as the possibility of untimely services may be a cause for it. The system shall provide better prices for perishable commodities. The process of the action that involves in the Kisan Rath goes in this manner.

1. Farmers, FPOs, buyers/traders place a request order for transportation on the app and it is informed to the transport aggregators in the market.

2. The transport aggregators do interface with truckers and fleet owners. A competitive quote is passed to the consignors along with the truck details.

3. The consignor negotiates with the trucker and finalizes the deal offline. After the completion of the transport deal, the consignor is asked for the feedback on the transport service provider.

4. The feedback helps the transportation service provider to improvise the services and the same logistics enables consignors to fix the transportation deals in the future.

Kisan Rath Mobile app Registration Process:

With so many benefits for the communities of farmers and traders, the govt opens the Kisan Rath Mobile app 2021 for those communities. Here are the simple steps to reach out to the services of the mobile apps 2021.

1st Step: An applicant must open the Kisan rath mobile app and on the home page, select the language.

2nd Step: The applicants will find three options on the home page.

They are:

  • Farmer
  • Trader
  • Service provider

If the applicant is a farmer, then click on the farmer Option. And, the Farmers must log in to it using their mobile number and password.

Note: If the farmer is yet to register then get to the sign in and click on the option register.

3rd Step: The farmer is expected to fill in every information such as name, state, district, tehsil, village, etc. 

4th Step: After completion of the application, the farmer must click on the submit button and thereby the application procedure is complete.

Procedure to Hire tractor or Truck Online Booking Kisan Rath App:

1.  The farmer must complete the registration as mentioned above and then enter the login page by entering the login credentials.

2.  After making a successful login the farmer must select the vehicle type, truck, or tractor. Then select the date and task details.

3.  The farmer must submit the requirement and this results in sending the notification to the concerned service provider. 

4.  The service provider shall call back and the farmer can finalize the transportation deal as per the requirement.

Mandi Officer Registration process via Kisan Rath Portal:

1. To complete the Mandi officer registration, users must visit the Kisan Rath portal i.e. https://kisanrath.nic.in/.

2. On the Home page of Kisan Rath, Users must click on the Register Option and view the page on the new page.

3. Once you get the Kisan rath Mandi Officer Registration page, users must fulfill the details like Name, Mobile Number, Email ID, Designation, State, District, Town, City, Address, Pin Code, OTP and click on the Submit button.
