The State Government of Karnataka has Started 120 Buses and 50 Double Buses on 12th September 1948 to Provide the transport Service to the Karnataka State People.
And this service was launched by Mysore Government Road Transport Department (MGRTD). Now this name changed to Karnataka State Government Road Transport Department (KSRTC).
To give Good transport Service and Provide traveling Luxury from one place to another place with the Peace of mind, the Government of Karnataka has divided the KSRTC into 4 Separate departments.
They are:
- Monolithic State Road Transport (MSRT)
- Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC)
- North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKSRTC)
- North East Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NEKSRTC)
After bifurcation of KSRTC Corporation in 4 Departments, the State Govt of Karnataka has Started to provide good transport Services without any risk. The State Government has not established all Separate Corporation in the Same Year. It has Started one after one from 1997 to 2000.
