PM Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana: The Government of India Prime Minister Narendra Modi Garu has again launched a new scheme namely Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana (PMKMY) for all small and marginal farmers who have attained old age.
Farmers may not be able to work on farms after a certain age and their means of livelihood gets shattered. With no minimum earning, and hardly any savings in their lives it becomes impossible for their survival. Hence, this social security to Poor and Below poverty line sections of farmers’ beneficiaries enables them to take care of their expenses.

Centre Contributes equal amount to PMKMDY Beneficiaries:
The Pradhan Mantri PM Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana scheme provides a minimum fixed pension of Rs.3000 to small and medium marginal farmers. They should have completed at least Sixty years of age. The Government will collect Rs.55 rupees to Rs 200 rupees from every farmer against the pension fund. It is completely dependent upon the beneficiary’s entry age. The Indian govt also contributes an equal amount to the pension fund.
Simple Rules Govern the Beneficiaries for Pension:
The Pension Scheme is applicable to the SMF but shall have to fulfill certain conditions to be eligible for pension. An SMF farmer must own cultivable land up to 2 hectares as per the agricultural land records of that particular State/UT. The farmer who gains the benefits of pension from 60 years of age onwards should make a monthly contribution. The farmer should be between 18 years and 40 years of age group.
Schemes that exempt SMF to Gain PMKMDY:
Although a farmer belongs to the SMF category the government will not issue pensions if they are covered under any Statutory social security scheme.
The Statutory social security schemes can be NPS, ESICS, Employees’ Fund Organization Scheme, etc. Farmers belonging to small and marginal sections may have enrolled for schemes exclusively designed for them. In such a case, those farmers shall not be entitled to enroll in this scheme. For instance, the Ministry of Labour and Employment Department has released two schemes for farmers.
They are:
- Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan Dhan Yojana (PMSYMY)
- Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyapari Maan Dhan Yojana (PMLVMY)
Any farmer who is a beneficiary of any of the two schemes is also not eligible for the present scheme.
Beneficiaries Who Are Not Entitled to PMKMDY:
1. Farmers who come under higher economic status do not fall under the beneficiary category.
2. Institutional landholders, and citizens who held/hold constitutional posts.
3. A beneficiary of the scheme should not have filed an Income tax assessment last year.
4. All Persons who paid Income Tax in the last assessment year. Farmers who are in the professional services such as Chartered Accountants, Architects and registered with professional bodies, etc are not entitled to the scheme.

Simple Method for Beneficiary to Register at PMKMDY Web Portal:
1st Step: Beneficiaries should open the browser and insert the website address www.maandhan.in or www.pmkmdy.gov.in and click the ‘search button.’
2nd Step: A new web page opens, and it is a homepage, click at the hyperlink ‘Click here to apply now.’
3rd Step: Once the PM Kisan Maan dhan Yojana frame appears on the web page, there are two kinds of options provided. The First is self-enrollment and the second one is CSC VLE. You can select any of the Options and log in to the page.
4th Step: After tapping the self-enrollment option, the beneficiary must make use of the mobile number, Name, Email ID, OTP, and log in to the scheme page by hitting the Proceed button.
5th Step: On the Maadhan Pension for all Dashboard, an applicant will find four schemes. They are Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana (PMKMY), PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana (PMSYMY), and the National Pension Scheme for Traders (NPST), and Self-Employed Persons Yojana (SEPY).
6th Step: For the applicant enrolment form, make a selection of ‘Enrolment Option’ and make a selection of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana scheme Name.
7th Step: Now, an applicant will get the PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana new subscription enrollment form on the display as shown below.
8th Step:
An applicant will have to fill in the complete details such as the applicant’s 12 digits Aadhaar Number, Name of the Applicant, Date of birth, gender, mobile number, email. From the dropbox, the applicant will have to make a selection of district, sub-district, village, pin code. If the candidate belongs to North East Region, NER, then from the drop-down box, make a selection of farmer category premiums that are auto deducted from the PM-KISAN bank account. Request for consent.
9th Step: In the final stage, an applicant should re-check the complete details and hit on the ‘submit button.’
